Pelican Rapids man gets nearly 4 years for DWI in Becker County
Matthew William Bagley, 47, of Pelican Rapids has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for felony DWI. A second count of felony DWI was dismissed in a plea agreement.
According to court records, on Feb. 3, 2018, he was pulled over by a deputy for driving 65 mph in a 55 mph zone on Becker County Road 4. His blood alcohol level tested at .11 percent. Bagley has five prior DWIs, two in 1991, and others in 1998, 2001 and 2002, according to court records.
He appeared in court May 8 before District Judge Jay Carlson, who sentenced him to 46 months in prison at St. Cloud. He was ordered to pay a $50 fine and $140 in court fees from his prison pay.
