Tucker Roy Jacobson, 32, of rural Pelican Rapids, was charged in Becker County District Court with two counts of felony DWI and one count of felony fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle.
According to court records, at 4:16 a.m. on April 21, a deputy clocked him driving 73 mph in a 55 mph zone in rural Becker County.
When the deputy activated the squad's emergency lights to pull him over, Jacobson allegedly sped up and fled at 80-90 mph for about a mile, then thought better of it and pulled over. He allegedly said he fled because it would be his fifth DWI. His blood alcohol level tested at .12 percent at the jail an hour later.
On April 25, he posted a $50,000 bail bond. A contested omnibus hearing is set for July 16.
