Anja Kay Gettel

Anja Kay Gettel died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 23 months old, with her father, Adam James Gettel.

Anja was born April 27, 2018 in Fargo, ND to her parents Adam and Kallyn Gettel, and her big brother, James. Anja was an easy baby, happy-go-lucky, and had started to develop a spirited and magnetic personality for a toddler by the time of her passing.

Kay Keller, Anja’s maternal grandmother, preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Gene Votava.

Anja Kay is survived by her mother, Kallyn Elena (Votava) Gettel, brother, James Nicholas Fortman, maternal grandfather, Ross Keller (Paula Suda), Hillsboro, ND. Paternal grandparents, Donald Gettel, Osage, MN, Shirley Gettel, Callaway, MN. Maternal aunts, Andrea Votava, Hillsboro, ND, Dana (Joe) Larkin, Hawley, MN. Paternal aunts and uncles, Craig Larson, Fargo, ND, Rhonda Larson, Cedar Park, TX, Scott (Daisy) Gettel, Lake Park, MN and Mandy (Brent) Thompson, New York Mills, MN. Great Grandma, Ione Smith, Moorhead, MN, and many cousins, family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
