Peggy and her high school sweetheart Lyle were married on April 23, 1960 at the Methodist Church in Detroit Lakes, MN. Lyle and Peggy had four children; Michael, Lynn, Suzanne, and Michele.

Peggy and Lyle had the A&W Drive-In restaurant from 1973-1982. Peggy was an amazing boss and mentor to many. Peggy enjoyed going to plays and musicals, playing practical jokes, traveling and collecting dishes. Peggy was an avid bridge player whether that was with her friends or playing with Lyle in a couple’s bridge club. She loved going for walks, having coffee or entertaining. Her family praised her for being the best Thanksgiving cook, especially since she accomplished creating the entire meal by herself with ease and on time. Peggy had no greater love than to spend time with her family and in particular was an enthusiastic grandma!
