Shari K. Cannon, 70 of Detroit Lakes, MN, died Friday, January 14, 2022 in Palm Coast, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Detroit Lakes. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm with a parish vigil at 6:30 followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm Friday at David-Donehower Funeral Home. The visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the Mass at the church on Saturday.

Shari Kay Cannon was born September 2, 1951 in Fargo, ND to Robert and Kathlene (Thompson) Hilber. She is a 1969 graduate of Shanley High School in Fargo and then attended Fargo Business College. She moved to Detroit Lakes in 1986. During her working life, Shari worked for Holy Rosary School, T. L. C. and for Oak Crossing Nursing Home.

She enjoyed visiting her daughter, Casey and family in Florida, leading the Rosary at church, morning coffee with her friends and knitting.

Survivors include her daughter Casey Miller of Palm Coast, FL, 5 grandchildren, Gunner, Cami, Reagan, Elin and Lake, a brother: Mike (Julie) Hilber and a sister, Shannon (Robert) Klein all of Fargo. She was preceded in death by her son, Garth Cannon, her daughter, Brandi Parr and a granddaughter, Angel Baby. Memorials are preferred to the Garth Cannon and Jill Wothe Scholarship Fund or Oak Crossing. David-Donehower Funeral Home is serving the family.
