Jane A Hagen

61, Lived in Rathdrum, Idaho. After a lengthy battle with cancer, she passed away peacefully at Hospice on May 16, 2022.

She was born in Fairmont, MN on November 17, 1960 to Kathy Johnson (Hennis) and Stanley Hennis.

Jane moved to Detroit Lakes with her family in the Sixties where she completed High School and worked within the community.

Jane met her future husband, Tim Hagen in 1978 and moved with Tim to Reno, NV in 1980.

Jane returned to Detroit Lakes in August of 1981 to get married to Tim.

1988 was the most special of all years as she celebrated the birth of her only child, Travis.

The bond she shared with her son, and the pride and joy it gave her was and still is exemplary.

In Jane’s youth she worked in Detroit Lakes cleaning cabins at Lakeside, mowing lawns in the summer, and serving food for the Sandwich Hut and Country Kitchen.

After the move to Reno, she attended bartending school for the MGM Casino, graduating #1 of 26 students, starting a 23 year career that she both loved and excelled at.

Jane loved walking her dog, cruising, gardening, winetasting and for 10 years, she taught Sunday School for the local Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her Husband Tim, still living in Rathdrum, ID, her son Travis Hagen and wife Zaya McSky in Vancouver, WA, David and Terrie Hennis of Detroit Lakes, Cindy Hennis (Olmscheid) and David Olmscheid of Walker, MN, Nancy Hennis (Vareberg) and James Vareberg also of Walker, MN Jane is also survived by her Mother, Kathy Johnson of Detroit Lakes, MN.

A Celebration of life will be held in Jane’s honor at 2pm, August 20, 2022 at The Holiday Inn in Detroit Lakes, MN.
