Tyler McCloskey

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Tyler David McCloskey, age 27, our most beloved son, brother, uncle, family member, and friend, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 20th, 2022.

Tyler was born March 3rd, 1995, in Detroit Lakes, MN, graduated from Detroit Lakes High School, and lived in both Detroit Lakes and Fargo, ND. Tyler worked in the food industry, and was proud to have recently made a place of his own to call home.

Tyler loved to fish, skateboard, listen to music, and make people laugh. Tyler always had a smile on his face, and those who knew Tyler, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.

Tyler will be missed every day by his father, David McCloskey, his stepmother, Alisha McCloskey, his grandmother, Edeltrud McCloskey, sisters Cassie and Lexi (Logan) McCloskey, Kelsie Harper, niece Willow McCloskey, and his extended Canadian family.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Robert McCloskey, and his grandfather, David McCloskey, Sr.

Tyler will especially be remembered for his irresistible smile and fiery spirit. We LOVE and MISS you so much, my son.  XOXO

The McCloskey family will be holding a private Celebration of Life in Tyler’s honor, and wish to thank everyone for their outpouring love and support.
