Richard L. (Ricky) Larson of Detroit Lakes, MN passed away December 18, 2021 at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes.

Ricky was born on March 9, 1956 in St. Paul, MN to Richard and Shirley Larson. Ricky traveled to many places and worked at many careers. He loved being outdoors surrounded by nature.

Ricky is survived by his loving daughter, Avalyn Larson (Damon Sadler); his cherished grandson, Colten Sadler; parents, Richard and Shirley Larson; siblings, Debbie (Glenn) Disse, Betty Disse, Dennis Larson, Paul (Patty) Larson, Jill (Marc Blacknik) Larson, and Sherry (Rob) Kneifl.

Ricky was preceded in death by grandparents, Helen Askelson, and Christ and Lizzie Larson; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends…along with man’s best friend, Montana, his German Shepherd.

A Celebration of Ricky’s life will be held in June. Arrangements have been entrusted to the West-Kjos Funeral Home of Detroit Lakes.
