Thomas R. Seidel

Thomas “Tom” Seidel of Pine River, passed away on Sunday,  March 22, 2020, at age 59, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in South Minneapolis to Raymond and Mary Seidel. They moved to Pine River in 1975 when Tom was 14 years old. He loved living up north. He married Patricia “Patty” Sechser in 1979 and they had one child, Eric in 1980. Many folks will remember Tom from Phillips 66 on the corner in Pine River where he worked for many years. Tom had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He had a special relationship with his siblings, Kathleen, Mary, Robert, Susan and John. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Madi and Ethan. He especially loved hunting and fishing trips with his son, Eric, and brothers, John and Bob. Preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert Seidel. He is survived by his wife Patricia, son Eric and daughter-in-law Tasha, siblings, Kathleen Kjoberg (Mark), Mary Helmin (Ken), Susan Braun (Mike), and John Seidel (Ann) and grandchildren Madison and Ethan, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that loved being around him. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
