Letter: A benediction for the Detroit Lakes High School class of 1992

Friends, there is neither word nor turn of phrase in any language that I know or know of that could begin to describe how delightful it was to spend time with you. My only regrets are that not all of our compatriots were able to attend and that our time together was simply too short.

We are part of The Trust Project.

This past weekend the Detroit Lakes High School class of 1992 gathered for its 30th reunion. I offer this benediction thereof.
Friends, there is neither word nor turn of phrase in any language that I know or know of that could begin to describe how delightful it was to spend time with you. My only regrets are that not all of our compatriots were able to attend and that our time together was simply too short.
You are, each and every one of you, beacons of light, carriers of joy, and pillars of strength. When I consider the course of my own life over these last 30 years I realize just how often I have drawn from memories of each and all of you to sustain and embolden myself. It seems that I carry the best parts of you with me, and I know that I am all the better for it.
I send you the greatest esteem that I can muster, the warmest wishes that I can conceive, and the hopes for the best possible futures that I can dream. I am privileged to count myself amongst such a group. Never hesitate to call upon me if I can ever be of service.
Until we meet again
