Letter: Collateral damage from cultural quackery

Letter to the Editor web graphic dlpf

This morning at 3 a.m. I declared myself a Progressive Christian. As such I am deeply offended by what Franklin Graham, Jerry Falwell Jr. and other evangelists are doing and not doing to my brand. Real Christians and men of goodwill show empathy, compassion and respect for the poor and displaced. Real Christians and other men don’t hide behind "thoughts and prayers," especially when it’s mass murder by gun violence, conversion therapy and other forms of cultural quackery.

Some of them are entwined with the Trump Syndicate and practitioners of Bernie Madoff economics; disrespecting and degrading scientific facts and truths, ignoring intelligence warnings, grotesque selfishness and self-pity (a market share thing) and of course pharmaceutical quackery.

The collateral damage from all of the above is reprehensible and unforgivable with no bottom. Throw Attorney General "Aaron" Barr and Mitch McConnell into the mix and we have the perfect formula for "unscientific fertilizer!"
