BASEBALL: Raiders fall to Red Lake County

Red Lake County scored seven runs in the fifth and sixth innings to break open a close game and send the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders to their first loss of the season 10-3 Tuesday in Section 8A West action at Red Lake Falls.

The Rebels capitalized on a pair of wild pitches and errors in the field to rally late in the game.

The Raiders crept to within a run after trailing 3-0 in the top of fourth. Mike Vohnoutka and Marcus Dickelman-Stassen scored runs in the fourth. Mitch hall added a run in the Raiders’ seventh.

Both teams combined for 10 errors in the field; six for the Raiders, the Rebels committed four.

Dickelman-Stassen took the loss for LP-A throwing 99 pitches over five innings. He allowed six runs, five earned, walked six and struck out three.

He had one of LP-A’s four hits in the game; the other three coming from Hall, Jacob Anderson and Trevor Loberg.

LP-A (1-1) will face Barnesville at home in non-conference action Thursday, April 13 at 5 p.m. in Lake Park.
