BASEBALL: Raiders even record with win at Win-E-Mac

The Lake Park-Audubon baseball team evened their season mark at 2-2 after a 9-1 road victory over Win-E-Mac in Section 8A play Thursday.

The Raiders broke open a tight game expanding on a 1-0 lead from the first inning with a five run fifth and three runs in the sixth inning to claim the victory.

Adam Wolfswinkel picked up the victory throwing a complete game. He allowed one unearned run on six hits with six strikeouts over seven innings. Wolfswinkel was consistent on the hill pitching to contact throwing 53 strikes of the 73 pitches made.

Blake Glass suffered the loss for the Patriots over 6.1 innings on the hill. He allowed eight hits, walked three and fanned a pair. The Patriots’ defense committed six errors and eight of the Raiders nine runs were scored unearned.

Mitch Hall and Mike Vohnoutka had multi-hit days for the Raiders. Vohnoutka knocked in a team-high three runs.

The Raiders are 1-1 in section play and will face 8AA Hawley (0-2) at home Friday, April 21 at 5 p.m.
