Senior tri-captain Anna Payne continued her point per game scoring streak with the lone Laker goal in an 8-1 loss to East Grand Forks Saturday at Kent Freeman Arena.

Payne has three goals and one assist in four games to lead the team.

Payne’s goal came at 7:27 of the first period on assists from Karrigan Hallisey and Madyson Melgard to even the score 1-1.

Cynthia Loven scored unassisted at 15:34 to put the Green Wave in the lead for good.

East Grand Forks scored three times in each of the final two periods of play.

Livia Pesch had a goal and four assists; Grace Beck scored twice and added an assist.

East Grand outshot DL 41-18.

The Lakers were the first team to score on East Grand Forks (3-0) this year.
