A pair of Minnesotans face off against out of state competition in the Mid-Am semifinals Saturday afternoon at the Pine to Palm golf tournament in Detroit Lakes.

No. 8 James Ford of Prior Lake faces last year's runner-up and 2016 champion No. 4 Scott Uithoven.

No. 2 Jake Witham of Roseville will square off against No. 6 Darren Haley of Bismarck.

Uithoven is not stranger to the final having finished in the top two three of the last four years. He is the only golfer who can keep a new name off the champions list and can become the fourth Mid-Am player to win the title twice joining Perry Piatz (2018-18), Kent Spriggs (2014-15), and Jay Olafson (2009, 2011).

Ford defeated medalist Darin Nelson 3&2 to advance. Witham took out No. 7 Tyler Nelson 2-up. Uithoven was first off the course with a 6&5 victory over No. 5 Matt Parker. Haley defeated No. 2 Kevin Swenson 2&1.
