Adam Thielen and the Minnesota Vikings starting offensive unit played the entire first quarter of a 25-19 preseason victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins was 6-8 passing for 68 yards, including a 34-yard completion to Adam Thielen.
Thielen was targeted three times making all three receptions for 45 yards. He also rushed once for five yards.
Backup quarterbacks Sean Mannion and Kyle Sloter each threw touchdown passes. Former Concordia Cobbers wide receiver Brandon Zylstra had a productive game catching a 4-yard touchdown pass from Sloter to give the Vikings a 17-13 lead with 2 minutes, 29 seconds to play in the third quarter.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Zylstra had five catches for 37 yards.
Zylstra is in his second season with the Vikings. Last season, had finished with one catch for 23 yards, playing in 16 games. He was primarily used on special teams.
