DETROIT LAKES - The Becker County Sportsmen's Club will hold its annual Trap Shooting Meeting next Tuesday evening, Mar. 11, at the American Legion Club.
Notice that this is a deviation from the usual club meeting night, which has traditionally been on a Thursday. This one is next Tuesday, the 11th, at 7 p.m. President Brett Friesen and shoot coordinator Perry Nodsle want to have all club members attend. We're looking for a big turnout, with the idea to solicit ways to improve the summer league of trap shooting. The organization of your shooting team should begin now, and have your roster ready for the meeting.
Another topic of great interest is the annual meeting of the Minnesota Conservation Federation's meeting here in Detroit Lakes in September. The Minnesota Conservation Federation is a group of statewide sportsmen's clubs, and it is part of a National organization. The BCSC will host the state group's meeting and the participation in the matter will be discussed.
One of the matters to be taken up at this meeting will be modifications of our trap shooting program, fitting it to better acceptance to your own personal needs. We want trap shooting to have a great fit into your own summer program. Come to the meeting next Tuesday and be part of it.
