The Tigers beat Lake-Park Audubon 30-0 on Oct. 26. They went on to lose to the eventual section champions, third-seeded New York Mills, on Oct. 30. New York Mills (9-1) beat fourth-seeded Breckenridge (6-5) 32-0 last Friday at the Fargodome to win the 6A championship.

The sixth-seeded Frazee Hornets also didn’t make it out of the first round after a 36-0 loss to third-seeded Hawley (5-5) on Oct. 26.

Hawley eventually lost to Pelican Rapids (7-3), who then lost to Barnesville (8-2) last Friday in the Section 8AA title. The top-seeded Trojans take on Eden Valley-Watkins (9-1) in the first round of the Class AA state tournament.

The hornets finished the season with a 2-7 record and went 0-3 in section play. Both of Frazee’s wins were in conference play over Parkers Prairie and Roseau.
