The M-State men’s golf team was victorious for the second time in two days shooting a team score of 312 to defeat Valley City State and Dickinson State in a triangular at Pebble Lake Golf Course (Par 72) in Fergus Falls Monday, Sept. 28.

Carter Justesen (Hawley) earned medalist honors with a 73. Wyatt Blomseth (Detroit Lakes) was the runner-up with a round of 77.

Justesen recorded his fourth consecutive round in the 70’s.

“It was a nice couple of days for our team and I thought we played some quality golf against some very good competition,” M-State head coach Jason Retzlaff said. “Carter Justesen played tremendously today as his short game was superb. Wyatt Blomseth and Jon Vall played very nicely as well on a day where the weather wasn’t very pleasant. Mikey Vall also had his best round of the season. There were a lot of positives for our team to build around.”

Former Lakers Drew Schwan and Hunter Burnside were also in action. Schwan placed 10th overall (82); Burnside finished 15th (85).
