It was a measure of revenge for the Detroit Lakes Senior Babe Ruth Baseball team when they picked up a 9-5 and 9-0 doubleheader sweep of the Perham Buzz at Washington Park on July 30.

Earlier in the season, Perham cruised to a pair of wins over Detroit Lakes, but it was Detroit Lakes, who was the dominant team at Washington Park.

"In the final weeks of the season we have been working extremely hard on our mental toughness and our approaches at the plate, and that was evident with this doubleheader sweep," DL head coach Brandon Johnson said. "When things didn't go our way the boys showed growth and maturity in their grit by persevering and moving forward. The mental game of hitting has greatly improved this week with the boys having a solid approach at the plate and focusing on what they can control at the plate to do what is needed in the situation. That is evident with the 28 hits we had tonight, and only 3 strikeouts."

Logan Lund held the Buzz in check in game one, while Bradly Swiers was dominant in the win in game two.
