Detroit Lakes’ Jordan Tucker is coming off a successful junior campaign. It was good enough to garner attention from 10 collegiate baseball programs around the Midwest.
After his senior year, Tucker is headed to the junior college level to play for Bismarck State College. Tucker chose the Mystics because it presents an opportunity to play right away while focusing on some summer baseball opportunities out West.
During his recruiting process, Tucker was in contact with schools from Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin, ranging from junior college to Division II.
In his fall baseball season with MinDak, a prospect team based out of Fargo, ND, Tucker led his club in batting average, runs scored, stolen bases and on-base plus slugging percentage. Last summer, Tucker led the Detroit Lakes high school and legion baseball teams in the same four categories. He was named to the all-conference and all-section teams
Tucker first started for Post 15 in 2018 before starting as a freshman for DLHS. He’s also played for the Vegas Loons and the Burk Black Sox 16U team. Tucker plans to study sports marketing and management in college.
