“I was really pleased with our defensive effort tonight especially, in the second half where we held Walker to only nine points,” Hornet head coach Brian Tangen said.

“The boys kept up their intensity the entire game.  Monday's practice was back to the defensive basics and it paid off tonight.”

Matt Tangen was strong all over the court scoring 12 points, with nine rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Mathew Daggett had 5 points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal.

“Mathew did an outstanding job on the defensive end guarding Walker's top player and holding him to seven points. This is the kind of defensive effort we need.”

Austin Torma had 2 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal and again provided the defensive glue in the paint.  Austin does a great job on the defensive end night in and night out.

Chance Willette also provided a defensive spark playing one of his best games of the year.

“He hounded Walker's point guard all night,” said Tangen.

Gunnar Hilde came off the bench with three big steals and five points.
