The No. 19 Detroit Lakes boys had their highest offensive output of the season in a 11-3 blistering of Wadena-Deer Creek Thursday completing the season sweep at Wadena in Mid-State Conference boys hockey.
The Lakers have tallied nine goals twice this season but Thursday’s effort was the first foray into double figures.
Shots were as unequal with the Lakers holding a 47-16 advantage.
Austin Fritz improved to 6-0 this season stopping 13 of 16 Wolverine shots.
Ryan DeConcini picked up the hat trick with his third goal the final nail in the W-DC coffin at 13:59 of the third period. DeConcini leads the Lakers with 28 goals and 52 points.

DeConcini is tied for 10th statewide in Class 1A in goals scored and 11th in points after adding two assists to his hat trick Thursday.
Jon Richards is 20th in Class A in assists with 28. He added one to that total and scored four times against the Wolverines picking up the hat trick in the opening two minutes of the second period to put DL up by a score of 7-1.
Richards set up the opening goal of the game at 6:02 of the first period. Carter Schwan picked up his first point of the season and the goal.
Josh Bollig’s eighth goal of the year put DL up 2-0. Bollig is third behind DeConcini and Richards in team scoring with 25 points, 17 assists, eight goals.
Bollig had a four-point night with a goal and three helpers.
DeConcini’s first goal at 10:11 from Cooper Heimark and Bollig was the eventual game-winner.
Heimark picked up his fourth goal of the season and Tanner Berby his second.
Jeric Giwoyna added a pair of assists in the Lakers’ offensive onslaught.

DL has strung together four blowouts in a row.
The Lakers have outscored Prairie Centre, Kittson Central, Red Lake Falls and the Wolverines by a combined score of 33-4.
DL hosts Greenway/Nash-Kee (11-9) Friday, Jan. 30 at 7:15 p.m. The Raiders are 8-2 in their last 10.
