Detroit Lakes scored three goals in each half of a 6-0 shutout boys soccer victory at Crookston Tuesday, Sept. 22.
The Lakers have held the past two opponents off the scoreboard and recorded a third shutout of the season to improve to 5-2 overall.
Austin Miller scored the eventual game-winner in the 12th minute unassisted to get DL on the board. The goal was the first of two for the Laker senior.
Parker Davis scored between the legs of Crookston keeper Kaleb Thingelstad in the 33rd minute and Hunter Zempel scored 63 seconds before halftime to send the visitors to the break up 3-0.
DL tightened up on defense not allowing a Crookston shot on goal in the second half.

Miller tallied his second goal of the game two minutes into the half.
Lucas Schwan added the fifth goal and Braeden Wimmer scored on a penalty kick late to polish off the game.
The Lakers had 17 shots on goal to only three for the Pirates and DL swept the season series from Crookston outsourcing the Pirates 15-1 in the two games.
DL has won the last five contests with Crookston (1-5), including both regular season games last season and the playoff opener.
The Lakers host East Grand Forks (3-2-1) Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Rotary Soccer Park. Both Green Wave losses have come to the Lakers in one-goal games.
