Tuesday was another solid day for the Lake Park-Audubon and Frazee cross country teams at the Bagley-Fosston invite.
The LPA boys took fourth in a 15-team field and were led by junior Taylor Johnson. He finished with a time of 17:57.3 in sixth place. Seth Torgerson took 18th with a time of 18:30.5, while Thor Erickson took 23rd (18:48.8). Tripp Eiter (20:06.1), Kody Johnson (20:41) and Chester Retz (20:56.3) rounded out the top six for the Raiders.
Nathan Johannsen paced Frazee to an eighth-place finish with his time of 17:33. Johanssen took third overall behind East Grand Forks’ Jonathan Krueger (16:54.7) and Pelican Rapids’ Charlie Larson (17:16.2).
Jonah Sharp finished in 48th place for the Hornets with a time of 20:32.5. Alex Helmers (20:56.1), Brady Borah (21.07.5), Cael Pausch (21:18.4) and Jayden Keeping (21:38.5) all clocked in under 22 minutes.
The LPA girls took sixth place on Tuesday with a team score of 133. Eighth-grader Ellen Schauer paced the Raiders with a time of 20:48.9, which was good enough for fourth place overall. Senior Beth Schauer wasn’t far behind in 14th place with a time of 21:25.0.
Jada Carlson took 41st place with a time of 23:21.8. Laura Schauer (23:39.5) and Bernice Minske (26:47.8) rounded out the top five for the Raiders.
The Frazee girls took 11th place as a team behind senior Braylee Riewer’s 28th-place finish with a time of 23:21.8. Bailey Larson (24:40.6), Alexis Mack (25:50.2), Taylor Perrine (26:01.4) and Sydney Roderman (26:07.5) were the rest of the Hornets’ varsity runners.
