The Detroit Lakes dance teams competed in a small meet in Moorhead on Tuesday night.
The Lakers took first in jazz with only two other teams in the field. Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton took second, while the host school, Moorhead, took third.
The Detroit Lakes kick team placed third. DGF and Moorhead tied for first before the Rebels won the tiebreaker. The Lakers were two points behind first place in high-kick.
The Lakers beat out the two Moorhead JV teams and DGF for first place in jazz in the junior varsity competition. Moorhead was the only team to have a routine in JV high-kick.
