Detroit Lakes competes against several Section 8A teams at home meet

Detroit Lakes had its second home meet in two weeks on Tuesday morning at Detroit Mountain, and got a chance to see where they stack up against some of the teams in Section 8A.

Casey Park paced the three varsity boys to a time of 17:00.5. Zac Carlson wasn’t too far behind at 17:14.14, while Evan Thomas clocked in at 19:46. Hunter Zenhacker was the lone Laker in the junior varsity boys race with a time of 13:43.3.

Kira Wolf led the Laker girls at 20:09.5. Madi Gerdes (20:42.9), Lexi Gerdes (21:51.2), Anna Askelson (22:17.5) and Julia Steffl (22:21.3) rounded out the varsity squad. Maddie Blahut (19:54), Siri Vagle (20:12.2) and Carlee Zurn (21:39.8) competed in the junior varsity race.
