The Laker girls golf team has won every meet attended this season and continued that streak at the Cardinal Legacy at Cragun’s in Brainerd.
The six-team meet was shortened to nine holes due to rain in the area and temps of 40 degrees.
Laker senior Evan Westrum shot a 3-over-par 39 on Legacy Course No. 3’s back nine recording six pars on her way to a one-stroke victory over Elk River’s Avery O’Donnell for medalist honors.
DL freshman Hanna Knoop and junior McKenna Mallow tied for third (43); seventh-grader Tatum Gatheridge shot 47 to nab seventh place and give the Lakers (172) a 27-stroke team victory over Elk River (199).
All six Detroit Lakes golfers finished in the top 10. Senior McKenna Burhans and freshman Laura Syltie tied for 10th place with matching 52’s.
