Zack Oistad collected six hits and Jacob Thomas provided a walk off win as the Detroit Lakes baseball team extended its winning streak to 14 games in a doubleheader sweep of Thief River Falls 6-5 and 12-2 at Washington Park Thursday, May 20.

Tied at 5-all in the bottom of the seventh of game one, Oistad started the winning rally with a one out single. He was lifted for pinch runner Kyler Johnston, who stole second base and scored on a two out, walk off double by Thomas for the 6-5 victory.

The Prowlers led 2-0 after the top of the fourth inning behind a strong start by pitcher Zach Westlund. The Lakers got on the board and took their first lead of the game with three runs in the bottom half.

Thomas doubled in Oistad. Andrew Kulik scored on a wild pitch and Jake Bishop came home on a Bradly Swiers base hit to go up 3-2.

The visitors responded with three runs in the sixth taking a 5-3 lead, but the Lakers tied the game with runs by Thomas and Bishop to go to the seventh deadlocked at five.
