The No 11AA Detroit Lakes wrestling team picked up a pair of dominating victories on the road Friday night in Glyndon defeating the host Rebels and Fargo Davies handily.

The Lakers overcame early deficits to run away with both matches 51-27 and 42-18.

After staking Fargo Davies to a 15-0 cushion, the Lakers allowed only three points to the Eagles winning nine matches in a row and 10 of the final 11.

Tyson Ullyott, Carsen Wold and Cade Jackson all recorded pins. Wold needed only 19 seconds to take down Skylar Oster. Ullyott was fast as well pinning Liam Wicklow in 47 seconds. Jackson ended his match with two seconds remaining in the first period.

Blaine Henderson won by technical fall outscoring Rylen Reid 18-3.

Thad Schlauderaff won by major decision, 14-4, over Landon Alex.

Bradly Swiers, Brody Ullyott, Ryan Barth, Garett Nelson, Cale Abraham and Andreas Barnett all recorded decision victories.

The Lakers trailed 18-0 against the Rebels before winning nine of the remaining 11 matches in a 51-27 victory.

Detroit Lakes middleweights erased the lead with four straight pins. Tyson Ullyott (126) pinned Rude Roy with 14-seconds remaining in the match to get the Lakers on the scoreboard.

Carsen Wold (132) had a second period fall of Camden Mustachia. Bradly Swiers (138) tied the match at 18-all with a late first period pin of Dawson Zutz. Cade Jackson (145) gave DL the lead for good with a first period pin of Colton Zutz.

After a forfeit to Brody Ullyott, Garett Nelson continued the streak of falls pinning Casey Macziewski in a minute-43.

Blaine Henderson added a 9-3 decision over Zander Jenson and Laker heavies Jeffrey Moen and Andreas Barnett finished off the match with back-to-back pins.

Detroit Lakes (12-2) wrestles next Tuesday, Feb. 9 against Section 8AA rivals Perham and a non-section dual with Moorhead at The Hive in Perham.
