The Detroit Lakes Red 14-15-year-old baseball team evened its record with a 4-1 victory over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on the road Tuesday night.
DL jumped ahead early, scoring two runs in the second inning when Jeffrey Moen tripled in Ryker Gulseth. Moen stole home on a double steal to go up two. Will Martin and Ross Hansen scored in the fourth inning on RBIs by Moen and Vernie Davidson.
Moen scattered three hits in four innings on the mound, striking out five. Davidson allowed only one hit in the final three innings, earning the save while striking out four batters.
Game two ended in a 6-6 tie in a game called due to darkness.
After falling behind 6-0, DL Red stormed back with the help of a six-run third inning led by Will Martin's two-run home run. Connor Beswick and Caleb Sundstrom drove in runs in the inning as well.

Ross Hansen pitched all 3 innings for DL, allowing two earned runs on four hits, while striking out a pair.
DL Red improves their record to 3-3-1 on the season.
Detroit Lakes hosts Barnesville at Washington Park on Thursday, July 16 in a doubleheader scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
