Next in line is securing the Mid-State Conference, which could start to happen when DL travels to Crosby-Ironton (6-6) Friday for a 7:30 p.m. start.
The Lakers will host No. 10 ranked in Class 2A Pequot Lakes (9-3) Tuesday for a big conference game. DL already has one win against the Patriots, and another one Tuesday will give the Lakers a comfortable gap in the Mid-State rankings.
DL leads the conference with a 4-0 record, while the Pats are 3-1 and Wadena-Deer Creek also stands at 3-1.
