The Detroit Lakes wrestling team used an aggressive approach to snag three wins evening inside Ralph Anderson Gym during the Lakers' quadrangular Tuesday.
The Lakers dominated each of their Northern opponents, with wins over Roseau 44-28, East Grand Forks 51-10 and Walker/Hackensack-Akeley 49-24.
"I was very pleased with our effort last night," said DL head coach Rob Ullyott. "We wrestled very aggressive and won a lot of toss-up matches."
The Lakers started out strong and fast in each of their three duals, with wins in the first four matches of each bout.
In weight classes 103-152 pounds, DL went a combined 19-5.

"Our lightweights once again did a great job of establishing the tempo of the match," Ullyott said. "We are getting better, but need to continue to improve and eliminate mistakes."
The Lakers will be in Fergus Falls Thursday for a 7:30 p.m. start.
