The Detroit Lakes Athletic Foundation will be honoring the fourth group of inductees into the Laker Athletic Hall of Honor on Sept. 26 and 27.
This year’s group of inductees includes Ron Noesen, Class of 1951; Jerry Fox, Class of 1955; Michelle Mallow (Baker), Class of 1984; Laker Boys Track Team, 1987; Josh Keyes, 1996; and Del Mollberg, long-time coach and athletic director at Detroit Lakes High School.
The primary purpose of the Laker Hall of Honor is to recognize great Laker athletes and teams of both genders in any varsity sports the Detroit Lakes School District sponsors.
Coaches and individuals who have made a significant contribution to Laker Athletics are also eligible.
A separate selection committee reviews the nominations and makes the selections and all nominations are kept on file for future years.
