The Detroit Lakes softball team extended their winning streak to three games after a conference sweep at Crosby-Ironton by scores of 17-1 and 15-0 Tuesday, May 1.
Madilyn Kirchner pitched four innings striking out eight batters in the 17-1 win.
Rachael Perkins led at the plate with three hits; Kirchner and Josey Allen collected two hits each.
Starting pitcher Mercedez Bellanger and the Lakers did not allow a run in the nightcap.
Bellanger got the pitching victory throwing three innings.

Laura Prussia had three hits including a three-run home run, the first of her varsity career.
Laken Weaver and Emily Moran picked up their first varsity hits.
C-I (3-4) has not won a conference softball game since 2013, a streak of 46 games.
DL improves to 3-1 in the Mid-State and 5-4 overall heading into a stiff test against No. 4-AA Park Rapids. The Mid-State doubleheader is scheduled for Thursday, May 3 at 4 p.m. at Snappy Park. The Panthers (9-0) have outscored their opponents 129-5 this season.
