Detroit Lakes picked up a second straight volleyball victory and a first on the road this year defeating Crosby-Ironton 3-0 (25-11, 25-20, 25-16) Thursday night in Crosby.
“We were happy to get the sweep tonight,” DL head coach Lynnsey Machakaire said. “The girls are killing the ball well. We still need to lower our errors. We did bring them down a little tonight from the last two matches but there is still lots of room to improve there. Everyone got to see a little court time and all played a role in the win.”
Jalynn Gunderson and Grace Gunderson led the Lakers with 10 kills each. Early-season leader Gabby Fredrickson added eight.
Ava Jones had 30 assists. Jalynn Gunderson served a pair of aces and Jordyn Johnson and Lauren Kaiser each had two blocks.
Josie Schaefer led the Rangers (1-2) with three kills.
