The Mary’s Place Detroit Lakes VFW Post 1676 wrapped up its season in the District playoffs.
To close out the season, Mary’s Place played in Perham Monday, July 15.
In game one, Perham defeated DL 2-1.
Josh Bollig and Cooper Heimark each had two hits for Post 1676, while Heimark took the tough-luck loss on the mound, scattering only five hits.
In game two, Perham won 3-2, as Andrew Dahl and Boyd Bradbury had two hits apiece.

Dahl and Sam Beck each had a double, while Dahl pitched extremely well, only giving up three hits on the game.
On Thursday July 25, in the District tournament at Perham, DL faced East Grand Forks, losing 11-1.
Bradbury had a double, and three others had singles, including Heimark, Josh Bollig, and Carter Schwan.
DL pitchers included Dahl, Beck, and Jacob Anderson.
The season ended Friday, with a 9-4 loss to Fergus Falls.
Bollig had two singles, Bradbury had a triple and a single, while Jacob Anderson had two singles. Bollig, Anderson, and Schwan each drove in a run.
Heimark pitched a solid six innings, only giving up four earned runs.
Bradbury and Heimark were named to the District All-Tournament team at the conclusion of the tournament.
