Lakes to Prairie Conference co-leaders East Grand Forks and Detroit Lakes have taken a nearly even road to the top of the standings and played to a 1-1 stalemate Tuesday night in East Grand Forks thanks to a late Green Wave goal.
Abby Larson gave the Lakers the lead scoring in the 10th minute unassisted off a rebound from a corner kick.
Detroit Lakes controlled play and battled successfully for 50/50 balls consistently in the first half.

The Green Wave picked up the pace offensively but trailed the Lakers for nearly the full second half.
Junior Macie Stanislawski evened the score off a Maggey Plante assist with less than two minutes to play to earn the tie.
Elle Bettcher made 10 saves for DL in net. Kadynn Melquist stopped eight Laker shots. The Lakers had four corners to two for the Green Wave.
Detroit Lakes and East Grand Forks have identical overall records of 7-1-1 and are 1-1-1 in three meetings.
