Wentz leads all NFL players in merchandise sales for 2017, Vikings' Thielen among top 10

FARGO—This just in: Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz can move "merch," as the kids call it, just as well as he can move the chains.

Wentz finished the 2017 season as the No. 1 mover of merchandise sold through, according a report from SportsBusiness Daily.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady finished second behind Wentz. Brady topped merchandise sales in 10 states, six of which were in the New England area. Wentz finished second in that category, leading merchandise sales in nine states. But Wentz was ranked first overall in merchandise sales.

Detroit Lakes' Adam Thielen was the only player on the Minnesota Vikings to crack the top 30 list, coming at at No. 9.
