Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton has canceled Friday's game against East Grand Forks and next week's game against Detroit Lakes due to COVID-19.

Green Wave coach Ryan Kasowski said his team was notified Tuesday afternoon. East Grand Forks has searched for replacement opportunities, although the possibilities appear bleak as of Wednesday morning.

The Rebels were scheduled to play at Detroit Lakes Nov. 6 but both games were canceled due to COVID-19 concerns as the school district moves to full distance learning communicated in a statement on the school’s website. The games are officially listed as canceled on the conference website.

“The DGF Health Department has seen a recent increase in middle school and high school students, staff, and families reporting to the health office that their student or family member may have been exposed, awaiting COVID-19 test results, or the student or family member has tested positive with COVID-19.”

The Rebels (3-0) will have just one regular-season game left on the schedule when they return to action following their cancellations. They are scheduled to close out the shortened regular season at home against Thief River Falls on Thursday, Nov. 12.
