Frazee jumped all over top-seeded Pequot Lakes in the second round of the south half of Section 8AA baseball defeating the Patriots 7-1 in Perham Thursday, May 31.
Nick Endersby surrendered one run on only two hits while striking out nine batters in a complete game victory.
For the second straight game, the Hornets were never behind on the scoreboard.
Logan Wacker reached on a first inning fielder’s choice, stole second and scored on a Tanner Tappe double for a 1-0 lead.
In the second, Jaden Guhlke made it 2-0 and the Patriots avoided further damage getting Endersby out at the plate.

Sam Scheuss scored the only Pequot run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the second.
Wacker and Thomas Stenger added runs for Frazee in the third.
The Hornets tacked on three insurance runs in the sixth to seal the victory.
The top three of the Frazee batting order - Tanner Schermerhorn, Gabe Drews and Wacker - each had two hits. Schermerhorn had two RBI also.
Austin Meister took the loss for Pequot Lakes giving up seven runs on 11 hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out three.

Hornets eliminate Cowboys in 8AA opener
No. 5-seeded Frazee used a five-run fifth inning to blow open a tight game on the way to an 8-1 victory over No. 4 Breckenridge in the south half of Section 8AA baseball Tuesday, May 29 in Breckenridge.
Leading 3-1, Frazee got singles by Logan Wacker, Mason Newling, and Tanner Schermerhorn and a double by Tanner Tappe. Schermerhorn led off the frame and scored on Wacker’s hit. Tappe doubled in Gabe Drewes and Wacker to go u p 6-1. Newling brought Jack Pikula home on a bunt Newling scored on Schermerhorn’s second hit of the inning.
Frazee never trailed in the game scoring three times in the third. Drewes and Wacker scored on a Tappe double and Tappe scored on a grounder by Thomas Stenger.
The Cowboys got their lone run unearned in the bottom of the third from EJ Engen, who reached on an error and scored on a double by Tommy Hiedeman.
Wacker was the winning pitcher allowing only five hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out nine. Nick Endersby threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Mitch Porter took the loss for Breckenridge. He surrendered eight runs on 11 hits over four and a third innings, striking out three.

Frazee’s bats were hot as the Hornets tallied 15 hits in the game. Newling, Schermerhorn, Wacker, Drewes, Stenger, and Tappe each had multiple hits for Hornets. Schermerhorn and Newling each collected three hits to lead Hornets.
The Cowboys end the season at 11-7. Breckenridge swept both games from Frazee in the regular season. The 12-8 Hornets face the winner of No. 1 Pequot Lakes and No. 8 Barnesville.
