The Laker girls hockey team completed the season sweep of the Morris Benson Area Storm by a score of 9-1 Tuesday in Morris.
Hailey Sonstegard led the Lakers recording a hat trick and scoring for a fourth time. Sonstegard tallied in each period and leads the team with 25 goals and 36 assists.
Sonstegard is 24th in the state in goals scored and a top 50 player in points ranked 49th.
Randa Larsen scored twice for her 16th and 17th goals. Larsen has 31 points this season.
Shannara Wheeler (2nd goal), Hannah Rhodes (11th goal) and Emily Seebold (5th goal) all scored and Jamie Bollig (7th assist) had three assists from her defensive position.

Sonstegard’s first goal was the game-winner at 10:35 of the first period, assisted by Larsen.
The Lakers scored four times in the first period icing the game early.
DL outscored Morris Benson Area 18-1 in two games.
Veronica Badurek made 18 saves to pick up her 14th victory of the season. She is tied for 9th in wins in Minnesota. Ashley Corcoran of Red Wing is the state leader with 18 victories.
The Lakers are an impressive 14-5-1 this year with five regular season games remaining.
DL plays at Crookston Friday, Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m. The Pirates are 6-13-1.
