Girls Hoops: Raiders win second game of the season

The Lake Park-Audubon Raiders picked up their second win of the season and first in conference play with a 30-23 victory over Mahnomen in Pine to Prairie girls basketball Thursday.

The Lake Park-Audubon Raiders picked up their second win of the season and first in conference play with a 30-23 victory over Mahnomen in Pine to Prairie girls basketball Thursday.

Mahnomen (0-15, 0-11) is still seeking its first win of the year and led at halftime on the road 15-13.

The Raiders held the Indians to eight second half points and quickly erased the halftime deficit outscoring the Indians by nine in the final 18 minutes to improve to 2-15 overall and 1-9 in Pine to Prairie play.

LP-A's Megan Hilfer led all scorers with nine points. Lindsey Thompson scored eight to lead Mahnomen.

LP-A is idle until Thursday, Feb. 5 when they will play P2P south foes Norman County/East-Ulen-Hitterdal (8-9, 4-5) in Ulen.

The Titans will play at Mahnomen the prior Tuesday, Feb. 23.
