Girls Hoops: Rams defeat Hornets at BSU

Kiley Borowicz led all scorers with 28 points; Kacie had 20.

Hailee Oswald hit three baskets from behind the arc to keep Frazee close early but left the game with an ankle spring.

Roseau had a scoring run late in the half to take a 39-27 halftime lead.

Frazee cut the 12-point deficit to six points at 41-35 early in the second half but the Rams pulled away on a 33-19 run to end the game.

“They played really well and we did not play our best,” Frazee head coach Dave Conzemius said.

Victoria Johnson added 11 points for the Rams.

Roseau owned the boards with a 47-21 rebounding disparity.

Kennady Barlund led Frazee with 20 points, Whitney Janu scored 10 and Oswald had nine.

Josi Tappe, Frazee’s leading scorer, had a tough night and was held to only three points.

Frazee falls to 10-6, but are 6-5 versus 8AA opponents. Roseau is 9-4 overall, 7-2 in the section.
