Roth leads Bison at Jackrabbit Invite

Laker alum and senior Natalie Roth leads the North Dakota State University women’s golf team after an opening-day two-round score of 4-over par 148 (73-75) to sit in seventh place at the Jackrabbit Invitational Monday, March 12, at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.

The Bison are in third-place after posting round scores of 292 and 317 for a 36-hole team score of 33-over par 609.

No. 36 UNLV sits atop the team leaderboard through two rounds at 3-under par 573, while South Dakota State is in second at 32-over par 608 – one stroke ahead of the Bison.

Freshman Alexis Thomas is tied for 12th at 8-over par 152 (73-79).

Junior Emma Groom is tied for 15th with a 36-hole 9-over par 153 (70-83), freshman Taylor McCorkle is tied for 23rd at 12-over par 156 (76-80), and sophomore Camryn Roadley is tied for 41st at 18-over par 162 (76-86), rounding out the NDSU scoring.

The Bison have two golfers competing as individuals in the event in sophomore Sierra Bennion and senior Trisa Hutchinson (Detroit Lakes). Bennion is tied for 12th with a two-round 8-over par 152 (78-74), while Hutchinson is tied for 35th at 16-over par 160 (85-75).

UNLV's Polly Mack sits on top of the leaderboard through two rounds at 3-under par 141.

The third and final round is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13.
