The Detroit Lakes golf teams remained undefeated with each team winning their second start of the season Thursday, April 16.

The boys team completed a Laker sweep at the Becker Bulldog Invite. The girls team opened the season with a win in Becker. The boys followed suit with a 10-stroke victory Thursday, led by senior medalist Lukas Justesen.

“Another great early tournament for the boys, winning our second start to our season,” DL head coach Bob Gorden said. “Lots of good things this early to our season, but each one has a few areas to improve.”

Justesen distanced himself from the pack by two strokes shooting a 2-under, 70 at Pebble Creek Golf Club.

Two other Lakers finished in the top 10. Senior Jake Green shot 77 to claim sixth place. Freshman Nick Tobkin tied for 9th with a 79. Eighth-grader Tommy Suckert completed DL’s scoring foursome in 12th place with a score of 80.
