Detroit Lakes senior gymnast Jackson Hegg and 2019 graduate Cora Okeson were recognized at the University of Minnesota Men’s and Women’s Gymnastics Hall of Fame Banquet held at the Courtyard by Marriott Minneapolis Friday, Jan. 3.

Both gymnasts were formally recognized and presented with certificates for their efforts at the 2019 state high school championships.

Both were heavy contributors to Detroit Lakes’ fifth consecutive state championship.

Individually, Okeson won two state titles on vault and floor exercise.

Hegg captured the uneven parallel bars state championship.

Teammate and fellow 2019 graduate Peyton Jernberg won her second consecutive balance beam state title to give the Lakers a sweep of all four state events.
