On Friday, Jan 21, Frazee faced a tough task when they traveled to defending HOL and Section champion Hawley.
The Lady Hornets played outstanding defense, limiting the Nuggets to just 37 points, but Hawley's defense was just as tough, as Frazee scored a season-low 26 points.
"I am proud of the way that the girls went out and competed with a tough Hawley team," Conzemius said. "We did not back down and we really made them earn this victory over us tonight."
The two teams battled back and forth in the first half, with Hawley (10-2 overall, 5-1 HOL) taking a 17-14 lead at halftime.
The Nuggets used a quick spurt in the second half to push the lead to 10-points, only to see the Lady Hornets (7-8 overall, 1-5 HOL) cut it back to five points with nine minutes remaining in the game.

Hawley, however, limited scoring chances for Frazee down the stretch, and they were able to secure the victory.
Alexis Tappe led the Lady Hornets with six points, eight steals and seven rebounds.
Frazee's leading scorer was only able to get up five shots, as Hawley's swarming defense limited her chances.
"You have to credit Hawley," Conzemius said. "They took away a lot of things that we like to do and made us uncomfortable.
"We still got a lot quality shots at the baskets, we just weren't able to knock them down."
Frazee returns to action on Thursday when the team travels to Glyndon to face D-G-F in a key Section game. On Friday, the Lady Hornets will travel to West Central Area.
