The Flyers entered the game with the 10th-ranked defense in Class 2A and were pitted against the No. 5 offense in the Hornets. Tanner Bachmann rushed 15 times for 203 yards and two touchdowns. Hesston was 5-8 passing for 98 yards and two touchdowns and rushed eight times for 190 yards and two scores. The Hornets built a 38-0 lead heading to halftime.
