The Detroit Lakes Izzo's baseball team started the 2010 season with a 6-3 mark.
The DL squad plays in the Lakes Region Babe Ruth League, with top pitchers being Sam Velde, Tyler Gebhart and A.J. Matter.
"Riley Soberg has been strong at the shortstop position," said DL head coach Mike Even.
Matter and Tyler Glander play the first base position, while Gebhart and Nick Eckman hold down third.
Chris Anderson does most of the catching, and Mason Pryzbilla has played the utility position as well.

Outfielders include Rich Grossman, Velde, Jon Mitzel, Sean Kiselhorst, Devin McDonald, Brandon Gilbert, Dylan Ruchti and Dustin Redig.
Leaders at the plate, thus far, have been Grossman, Mitzel, Anderson, Matter, Velde, Soberg and Gebhart.
The Babe Ruth Tournament will be held July 28-31 in Pelican Rapids.
